Bachelor Tuition in Australia: Lowest Fees in Our Listings
- Our listings show bachelor tuition from about AUD 19,463 a year at the low end.
- The lowest figure usually belongs to one course, not every course at that university.
- Tuition is only one part of cost. Add health cover, living costs and visa fees.
What we compared
The IGC Course Finder lists 2,190 bachelor programmes at 24 Australian universities. For every university we have an indicative yearly tuition range for international bachelor students. This guide looks at the lowest figure in each range.
This is not a ranking and it is not a promise of what you will pay. Fees differ by course and by year, and universities change them. Always confirm the figure on the official course page before you apply.

- Kaplan Business School Australia: about AUD 23,040 to AUD 24,960 a year

- Southern Cross University: about AUD 26,000 to AUD 36,000 a year

Why one low number can mislead
The lowest figure in a range usually belongs to a single course, often in a lower-cost field such as business or humanities. Medicine, dentistry, some engineering and health courses sit near the top of the range.
Look at how wide the range is. At Charles Sturt University the range in our listings runs from about AUD 24,560 to AUD 72,240. A student who reads only the first number may budget far too little for the course they actually want.
Across the 24 universities, the middle starting fee in our listings is about AUD 32,800 a year. Treat that as a rough guide to the market, not as a price for your course.
Costs that are not in the tuition figure
Tuition is not the whole bill. Build your budget with every item below and confirm each on an official page.
- Overseas Student Health Cover for the length of your visa
- Student visa application fee and any health checks
- Rent, food, transport and phone
- Books, equipment and any course materials
- Flights and your first few weeks of expenses
- Funds you must show for your visa, which depend on the rules in force
How to compare fairly
Start with the field you want, not the fee. Then compare two or three universities for that exact course, with the same duration. A three-year course at a higher yearly fee can cost less in total than a four-year course at a lower one.
Check what is included, such as placement or lab fees. Check whether the fee shown is per year or per course. Ask what happens to your fee if the university raises it during your study.
Part-time work rules exist, but work rarely pays full tuition. Plan your budget so that you do not depend on work income, and confirm the current work limit on the official page.
What IGC counsellors check with you
IGC counsellors look at your results, your English score and your family budget first. Then we compare real course pages, not only headline numbers, and we tell you when a course is a poor fit for your budget. We cannot promise an offer, a visa or a scholarship.
