How The Impact Global Consultant (IGC) collects, uses and protects your information when you use this website, our student portal and our counselling services.

1. Information we collect

Personal details you give us through our website forms, counselling sessions, our student portal and our CRM, such as your name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, date of birth, academic records, test scores, passport details and financial documents needed for university and visa applications. We also collect general technical data such as browser type, IP address and cookies.

2. How we use it

To provide counselling and updates, process applications to universities, colleges and visa authorities, keep you informed about programmes, scholarships, offers and events, send reminders about documents you still need to submit, and improve this website and our services.

3. Sharing

We may share your information with partner universities, colleges, scholarship providers and visa processing centres, and with service providers that help us store documents or send communications (for example Google Drive, Google Workspace and SMS gateways). We do not sell your data.

4. Google account data and Google API services

Our staff may connect their Google accounts to our CRM so that counselling emails and document reminders can be sent from, and replies read in, those accounts through the Gmail API. Our CRM only reads and sends messages that relate to student counselling and never uses Gmail data for advertising. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account access can be removed at any time from the Google Account permissions page or by asking us. Student document folders are created in Google Drive and shared only with the student and the IGC staff handling the file.

5. Security and retention

We use reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, change or disclosure. Documents and records are kept for as long as needed to complete your application and meet legal obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

6. Cookies and third-party links

This website uses cookies to improve your experience and measure traffic; you can turn them off in your browser. Links to other websites are outside our control and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.

7. Your rights and contact
